Did you hear the news? The 2020 Concrete Conference is moving online!

Due to continued safety concerns around COVID-19, the 70th Annual Concrete Conference has decided to go virtual in 2020. While we won't be seeing you in person, we are still thrilled to offer an exciting program lineup with keynotes, concurrent sessions, and opportunities to network with your peers!

The Annual Concrete Conference offers networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities for practicing engineers, engineering faculty, consultants, contractors, concrete contractors, and state and county agency employees.

Conference History

In 1950, concrete industry professionals met with University of Minnesota engineering faculty and continuing education staff to design a professional development program for engineers, contractors, architects, consultants, educators, and engineering students. The result, an inaugural conference in December 1951, became an annual University offering.

Registration and Conference Access

Fees

Participant: $80 by November 13; $95 starting November 16

The registration fee includes access into all plenary and concurrent sessions, conference materials, and up to 0.65 CEUs.

After registering online all registrants will receive “Registration Confirmation” and “Receipt” emails from [email protected] (you may want to check your Spam folder if you don’t see these in your email Inbox).

Use the online registration when registering yourself or multiple people using a credit card or UMN EFS.


Alternative Payment Registration

Use the alternative payment registration form when you cannot use a credit card or UMN EFS to pay for your registration. Available alternative payment types include:

  • Billing/invoice
  • Personal or company check

Conference Access

The software we will use for this event is Zoom. We recommend that all registrants test their connection prior to the conference using Zoom’s test meeting. Additionally, if you are new to Zoom, we recommend reviewing the Getting Started Guide.

This conference will be run through password-protected access to the conference website. Detailed information will be provided closer to the conference.

Cancellations

We will issue a refund, minus $50, if you cancel by November 16, 2020. Cancellations after this date will not be eligible for a refund. Please email [email protected] to cancel your registration, or fax a request to 612-624-5359.

Continuing Education Units

This conference awards 0.65 University of Minnesota, College of Continuing and Professional Studies CEUs to those attending all sessions. One University of Minnesota, College of Continuing and Professional Studies CEU is defined as 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. A CEU certificate will be sent to each participant after the conference. A permanent record of CEUs earned will be maintained by the University of Minnesota Admissions and Record Transcript Office.
