This presentation will cover NFPA 70E, titled Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. The document covers electrical safety requirements for employees.


12:30–2:15 p.m. − VFD Technology and Case Studies

Todd Olmschenk, Malloy Electric

This presentation will contain information and requirements, from the current NEC, on Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and real-world examples with the proper code calculations to complete a code compliant installation.


2:30–4:00 p.m. − Transformers

Jeff Fecteau, Underwriters Laboratories

At the completion of this presentation, participants should have the ability to recognize and locate the NEC requirements covering the installation of Transformers, have a better understanding of Article 450 of the 2020 NEC, and learn how to use the NEC and UL Product iQ to locate code requirements.
